About Me

I’m a passionate journalism graduate with a love for storytelling and amplifying voices through the media. My interest in journalism began with reading and writing as a child, and grew through a natural curiosity about people and their stories. This developed further during my teenage years when I started editing videos and vlogs, sparking my interest in broadcasting.

I graduated with First-Class Honours in BA (Hons) Journalism from Leeds Beckett University, where I was awarded the Dean’s Prize for the most outstanding student on the course. My work has since received national recognition, earning a Student of the Year Highly Commended Award at the 2025 PPA Next Gen Awards for a selection of my final-year journalism projects, as well as First Runner-Up in the BJTC Best TV Documentary Award.

After graduating, I spent five months living and working in Sydney before travelling the east coast of Australia, New Zealand’s North and South Islands, and parts of Southeast Asia, including Indonesia and Vietnam. These experiences broadened my perspective and strengthened my adaptability, resourcefulness, and ability to connect with people. I am flexible, curious, and willing to go where the story takes me.

What draws me to journalism is its dynamic nature; no two days are the same, and every story is an opportunity to learn, connect, and make an impact. I’ve developed skills in broadcasting, investigative reporting, and multimedia storytelling, covering everything from international university sports tours to the General Election with ITV.

I am eager to pursue a career in broadcast journalism and explore innovative ways to inform, engage, and connect audiences through accurate and meaningful storytelling.
